Calculate the pOH of 0.20 M Sr(OH)2
- micatkieLv 71 month agoFavourite answer
Sr(OH)₂ is a strong alkali. Each mole of Sr(OH)₂ completely dissociates in water to give 2 mole of OH⁻ ions.
Hence, [OH⁻] = (0.20 M) × 2 = 0.40 M
pOH = -log[OH⁻] = -log(0.40) = 0.40
