Average Transmission Temperature?

Got a Chey pickup and Transmission runs about 185 Degrees. Seems High.

Don't know? Thanks

Not much higher than the normal operating temperature of the engine and not necessarily an issue.  You may need to change the filter and fluid if there is a burnt odor, whining, slipping, lugging or any other issues.

Here's an article, but I don't exactly agree with it:

Seems low to me! It's bolted to an engine that is thermostatically controlled to 195°F and the transmission will get hotter than that under load.

A bit high.  Change the fluid.
