How do I fix my school laptop?

we got a school dell laptop at the beginning of the year and I wanted to take it permanently so I removed the ssd and put a new one in but for some reason I can't access the BIOS or any settings to boot off my usb to reinstall windows 10 on the new ssd

ask your school to fix it

You might have to take the laptop apart and remove the battery for a few seconds to reset the bios.

BIOS is locked with a password.  Probably no way into it.  Now you know why it is not wise to mess around with a laptop that is owned by someone else.  Put it back the way it was and buy a used computer from Ebay.

Or if you have actually bought that school laptop from the school system, you can contact the school's IT office for a way to get into the BIOS.
