How much does it cost to have someone do ancestry research for me ?

    A lot.  They charge by the hour and just trying to research one name can take days, weeks, even months.

    It's far better to do it yourself!

    $25 - $100 an hour, depending on experience and stature.

    You would have to contract a professional family history researcher and the best way of doing that is via the national archives or local records office, even a local family history society who will research and prove correctly as too many who advertise as such are just people who have an ancestry account and think copy and pasting from online is how research is done, where as you need copies of each and every record researched to prove ancestry, not just a tree of names/dates
