Adding camera on my desktop?

I have a desktop without a camera. How can I add a camera on to it?

Simple, just use a webcam like those from Logitech.  The Logitech 9xx series is pretty good.  I use the 920 (discontinued) and think it's good enough for  Skype or Zoom.

But, if you want or need better dynamic range or better control over the exposure, or more lens options, then use a digital camera (DSLRs and mirrorless are best).

You can shop for a web cam with a USB connector. Your desktop computer should have a USB cable connection.

You buy one. You can get cameras (webcams) with microphone that plug in to the computer's USB receptacle. Logitec makes decent cameras, although, one model 5 years ago wasn't focused properly, so you needed to add a corrective lens if you want a sharp image. There are other manufacturers that make decent webcams.
