Why do Lebanese people consider themselves Arabs ?

    Because they are! Many of them are Christian Arabs as well.

    Why wouldn't they say they are Arabs?

    Because some type of Arabic is their ethnic/native language

    Because they are Semitic 

    Arabs = Semites

    Lebanese have been "Arabized". I wouldn't really consider them Arabs since, imo, Arabs are the ones from the Arabian Peninsula.

    Because Persians, Phoenicians and Carthaginians don't exist anymore. And I've never heard anyone use the word Levantine in modern speech.
