She revs her car engine hard why?

Question

I use to wave at a middle aged woman excitedly. And when ever she sees me now she never waves but revs her engine really loud and even sounds the muffler when ever I say hello. But glares at me when doing so. And I wave at her she speeds away. I walk on the sidewalk when she is driving by.
