What are some literary devices with quotes in “The Catcher in the Rye”?

Try reading the book, doing a little thinking and then you can do your own homework.

Well, the only one I can think of is the Shakespeare-quoting Literary Quotation Device which Caulfield borrowed from Mr. Spencer so he could get some good quotes that he could use in conversations. But, as you probably know, he wasn't very good at programming the device and all he got out of it was "To be or not my Kingdom it is a horse", so he gave the machine back. Hope this helped.
