Should i buy an old convertible or a brand new EV?

I’m stuck between buying an 1995 mercedes SL500 and buying a Hyundai ioniq EV

Update:

The bens will cost me 10,000 to buy and the EV is almost 20,000

What a totally different set of cars.   The ML is 25 years old and maintenance is going to be an issue.   Finding a mechanic,  parts are expensive,   it is going to need a lot of stuff done due to age.   Plus it will eat gas like crazy.   Vs a new energy efficient electric still under warranty.   Give these two choices, I would go with the new electric car assuming you can put a 220 charger in your garage.

Another Hyundai spam.  Either they are broken or thinking of buying a new one question.
