Al;l depends what you mean by love.....its a word that means different things to different people.

Animals don`t know anything about `love`, they just act on basic instincts that are particular to their species.

Some animals `pair` for life and can become distraught if one of the pair loses a mate and I guess that is the animal equivalent of human type love. 

Love, to most  animals though means sex, (which humans regard as `lust`), and can have many `lusts` in the  mating season.
