why would a pie crust stick to a pan?

You can stop it from sticking if you rub the pan with raw egg first.

Pan wasn't greased enough

Probably under-baked. Pie crust should have ample amounts of fat (butter, lard, shortening) that you don't need to oils the pie tin.
Cake batter, which is wet, will stick if the pan isn't treated, but not pies.

The crust is probably under baked. If it is one you blind baked you can probably bake it a bit longer. If the pie is already baked place a piece of aluminum foil in the space where you cut a wedge and bake the pie again.
High heat lower portion of the oven.
