leopard gecko with red eyes?

i just got a leopard gecko today with red eyes and it just hid in the cold spot of the tank all day and slept. i know that might be normal but i watched a video where it said that the bright light (for heat) might be too much for its eyes? in that case should i go get a UVB light instead or am i just worrying over nothing? i dont think its an albino but ill insert a picture just to be sure. thank you!

Albinos do tend to have eye problems. You can consider heating it with an under the tank heater such as a heat tape, so it does not have to bask to stay warm. I have kept many albino kingsnakes and I do not notice any difference in how they behave compared to non-albinos.

They are nocturnal. they come out when it's dark. heading pads for reptiles work good with leopard geckos, and a cave or some shelter to sleep in.
