Help ASAP for leg pain for 9 months. ?
Ive suffered with severe leg pain for 9 months which has gotten worse. From my hip to below the knee. Had a blood test which didn’t show anything but it’s constant and doesn’t go. Been struggling for ages with it and has got worse. Really worried does anyone know what could possibly be wrong. Tried everything from stretchers to ibuprofen, heat pads, resting and exercise and nothing’s worked.

it sounds like you have to see a healthcare provider as a Chiropractor that they will help you with your situation. It sounds like you have a nerve impingement that it can be caused by either a disc herniation/bulge, muscle compression from the piriformis muscle causing sciatic nerve pain. Just taking Ibuprofen and doing "exercises" without causing the inflammation to decreased and having some decompression and muscle work, will not relief the pain. Go see a Chiropractor and you will feel the difference.Source(s): Professional Provider

You could have osteoarthritis in your hip, sciatica or some other problem. You need to find out what the problem is before you can get some relief.

probably sciatica...happens when a nerve gets irritated, bunchedup, caught in between muscles and fats... if youre like me and on the heavy side and active during daytime as in you walk around a lot then suddenly sits on one position for hours at a time ...you would feel this pain radiating from your inner part of your bumcheeks to down your legs...and feels worse when you move... massaging your trochanter area (hips) helps and also shifting weights when sitting orlying on one side... a pillow in between legs when on your side also helps...moreso, loosing weight is a plus...

You are suffering from sciatica. You have basically what people refer to a pinched nerve in your lumbar spine. You need to see a back specialist but preferably a neurologist. He/she will end up taking x-rays and then an MRI to see what damage has been done. There are some fairly minor back surgeries nowadays compared to 20-30 years ago. Medication wise, pain medications really do not work much with nerve and/or sciatica pain. I get the most relieve from taking Gabapentin. The drug is actually a medication to control seizures but they found out it works well with controlling nerve pain. I have had 6 back surgeries with four of them being spinal fusions. And, I have sciatica that causes me pain 24/7 but is reduced in half by taking the Gabapentin. Good luck.

Had something similar. Used mild exercise, not fast moving. Took time. Walking and moving inside a swimming pool or other water seemed to help. Doctor said it was torn tendons, ligaments, and nerves and needed to heal. Beware of opioids.
