Are people with autism exempt from wearing a face mask ?

    No. I have mild Autism, and I wear my mask whenever I am in public and likely to be in a crowded place, such as the grocery store. People with more severe ASD's may be granted a medical exemption from mask use- but this depends on the person and his or her circumstances.

    Not automatically. Ask your doctor about this.

    laws vary, for some, it would fall under medical exemption if they have an issue like sensory processing disorder and can't tolerate it.

    as a blanket rule? no. and they may even been more susceptible to catching the virus through touch for example
