The COVID 19 virus initiated in China but they say it is racist to call it the CHINESE Virus. Why?

The very same people and press who resent the inference, are quick to refer to a portion as "Trump's wall" along our southern border. But, they do not call more than 600 miles of EXISTING wall The Obama/Bush wall. Intentional hypocrites!

The Chinese didn't create it; it came from animal to human transmission.

Because obviously there have been hundreds or thousands of viruses that come from China, it is a natural breeding ground for animal/human transmission.   Likewise, most of our other dangerous diseases come from Africa, but we don't call Ebola the 'African Virus', or AIDS the American disease because it is spread by using jacuzzis.   (we do, but that is not the scientific term.)

The Spanish flu did not originate in Spain. Even if Covid-19 did originate in China, they don't own it. Calling it a China or Chinese virus DEFINITELY causes discrimination and hate against American Asians of all ethnic origin. Even if only the Chinese Americans, it's still wrong. When it's called Covid-19 or Corona Virus or SARS-2 it is neutral. Why give something a name just to be xenophobic and racist? Everyone saying China virus or Chinese virus is a racist xenophobe and undereducated.

The BLM Movement used the name Karen to describe white privileged women. I call that wrong also. Women named Karen are in every race and certainly not all white privileged acting. Same thing. No China Virus. No Karen as name calling.

The virus has been labled SARS-CoV-2, the illness is named Covid-19, any attempt to link it to a nation is only an attempt to blame another nation.  And when it comes down to it, it is stupid to criticize another nation for their response to the pandemic, when your own response to the pandemic has be far worse, even though you had advanced warning.

Secondly, viruses do not respect borders, nor do they care about your nationality.
