Do these sentences sound Ok for you, English Speaker?

Last year, after 3 years of study, I ended my x  degree after a battle with x illnessx.

My city has been involved in many protests every single day since

x until x when the virus entered my country.

.Thanks!!

Update:

I mean, I completed my degree

Update 2:

The 1st sentence I used the word "after" twice, is that OK?

The 2nd, I say "many protests every single day" , is that ok? It sounds childish ..

You could use "after" once by rephrasing:

Last year, after 3 years of study and a battle with illness, I completed my degree.

It depends on your meaning. Have the protest occurred after the virus entered your country?

My city has been involved in many protests, every single day, since the virus entered my country.

...or have they stopped since the virus entered the country?

My city was involved in many protests, every single day,

until the virus entered my country.

When you say ended do you mean completed or abandoned?  Not sure what the point of the second sentence is - how has this actually affected you?
