Do you need to eat more calories to build muscle? ?
So I workout and do a lot of push ups and weight lifting and my chest is starting to look good, everyday I reach my protein goal but my Fitbit says I should eat more calories , but when I do this they are always just empty calorie junk foods that have no protein and raise my fat for the day, if I don’t eat extra calories but still have a ton of protein ( one gram per pound but I usually go over) can I still build muscle? Or is it impossible to get muscles in a calorie deficit even if you eat a lot of protein?
