Why do evangelicals act like Catholics aren't Christians?
- nineteenthlyLv 73 weeks ago
Because according to their reading of the Bible, various things the Roman Catholics say don't appear to be in it, such as venial and mortal sins, special saints and the apparent idea that rituals can be used for repentance.

Many Protestants are desperate to show that the Catholic Church is BAD, because they know they came into existence by defecting from the Catholic Church. Unfortunately for them, the history of the Catholic Church is fully documented right back to the first century, when Jesus founded it, and promised it the fullness of God's truth. And it was the only Christian Church that existed until the Orthodox broke away many centuries later. The odd thing is that each of the 6,000 Protestant denominations claims to be teaching God's truth, yet the teaching of each one contradicts the teaching of the others, and truth cannot contradict truth. Meanwhile the teaching of the Catholic Church remains true and consistent after 2,000 years, just as Jesus promised it would.

There are many "Christian" denominations that do not follow the teachings of God's Word, yet still call themselves "Christian." Among Catholics, many take the teachings of their faith at the word of their priests, without verifying the veracity of those teachings. Such believers will be judged according to their faith in Christ. The priests and teachers will be judged differently, because God holds them to a higher standard.

Doctrine is the reason that catholicism isn't Christian. Catholic beliefs lead to hell because they teach works for salvation. So get completely away from those catholic beliefs. Here is the truth: The Lord Jesus Christ is God. Nobody can be good enough to avoid hell. The truth is that death leads to immediate heaven or hell, depending only on whether the person believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, or not. The truth is that the Lord Jesus Christ loves you and wants to bless your life freely :) Most of all, Jesus wants you with Him forever, and not in hell.
Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ means being forgiven all sins past and future and means going to heaven. The truth is that every belief except one will lead to eternal torment in the lake of fire for every person. Because nothing pays for our sins except the death and blood of Jesus, the sacrifice of Jesus that is already accomplished by Him . Jesus loves you! The truth is that the Lord Jesus Christ is God, and Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sins in full, and then Jesus was buried, and then Jesus resurrected from the dead. Nothing else pays for our sins, not works, not deeds, not religions. So the only way to heaven and to avoid hell, is by believing on Jesus for eternal life (John 6:47), without adding any of your own works (Romans 4:5). Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ to take you to heaven, and you will be in heaven, no matter what, guaranteed. That easy, thanks to Jesus! Tell Jesus that you thank Him that you will be with Him in heaven when you die, because you believe in Jesus! It is too late to be saved, after death

I do not think that. I just think they are chained by the tradition the church foists on them

Wishful thinking. At least the Catholics remember that Christ expects us to obey him, keep his commandments, and do good works.

They have a special Bible that says only those who worship the KJV instead of God can call themselves Christians.

We havent been brainwashed with catechisms, oral traditions, doctrines of ungodly magisterium and such - words of mere mortal men. We gain all our spiritual instruction from sola scriptura, the Bible alone. Unbiblical catholic doctrine is what motivated the Reformation. See Luthers 95 grievances. I can list a number of catholic doctrines that contradict holy scripture.
There are some catholics here who "claim" they gave the Bible to the world, and yet they dont obey the scriptures. There is one in particular here that condemns scripture outright.
