If someone is bedridden but not terminally ill are they still likely to die younger due to the risk of blood clots and the other health ?

Problems people get from being bedridden?

    Yes, the risk is higher for many things including pneumonia

    It really depends, every patient is different.

    As an example, I had an aunt who was pretty young when she got bedridden, she spent more than 20 years alive despite this. She had lots of recurrent infections and what not.

    Yes.   Muscle atrophy for one.
