HELP! C:/WINDOWS/System32 CMD.exe ?

I have an ASUS X55A, running Windows 10, 64 bit processor. Another asus computer I used awhile ago before it broke would show this command error sometimes, but that was a 32 bit system. I’m confused on how to get this to stop, and why it’s showing up on a 64 bit system since 32 bit .exe files don’t work on 64 bit systems? 😳😫 any help is extremely appreciated 😊

First, 32-bit .EXE files WILL run on a 64-bit system through something called SVCHOST.EXE, which emulates that environment.

Second, like another person said, something else is wrong because that particular program is perfectly OK.  If your previous computer, which WAS a 32-bit system, sometimes showed this error then your new system has the same error.  If you copied files from the old system (or had someone do it for you) then you transferred the files that caused the error.

We would need a LOT more information to troubleshoot this one.

An unexpected command prompt windows showing an error is often the result of an uninstalled program or some kind of malware that was detected and removed.

Run ccleaner, use the normal cleanup facility then go to Registry on the left and do a scan, then fix all errors.

    https://www.ccleaner.com/

Repeat the scan & fix stages until all errors are eliminated or the results stop changing.

The Dos / CMD error should be eliminated.

CMD.EXE is there in every windows, its dos, u never heard of it? it was what ran the computer before windows existed.Just type taskmgr on your run command or press cltr alt and del together to open taskmgr, over there u will see cmd, exe, click on it and select end task, that will fix the problem.

You are misinformed. 32 bit software runs fine on 64bit Windows. CMD.EXE is the command prompt. You have not provided an error message, just a path.

You are horribly mistaken. 32bit files surely do work on 64bit systems. 64bit files do not work on a 32bit system. It's the same as numbers. Can you fit something size 64 into a size 32 hole? No.

Can you fit something size 32 into a size 64 hole? Yes.

Same thing. A bigger system can run smaller files.

CMD.exe is a windows system file. The only way to correct an error with any file is to replace the corrupt file with a new one. How you do that with system files is re-install windows.
