How do you do a split and bring yourself back up?

Like in the Micheal Jackson bad video when they are dancing and they show a clip of a guy on roller skates and then he does a split and pulls himself up how do you do that and what is that called?

    You'd definitely need some flexibility and leg muscle strength because if your dropping and you don't want it to hurt you need to be able to have a bit of control and stretched enough legs, as well as the same for the coming up. So preparation and practice for this is definitely key
