World War II - Were German cities bombed during the holidays (Christmas, Easter etc)?

    Yes, but there was early closing on certain days.

    That would depend on what you mean by "during."

    Both Allied and Axis forces tended to suspend suspend any such bombing on the holiday itself, as well as the eve of the holiday.  But both sides bombed the night before that.

    Japan didn't have the same holidays, and engaged in some fierce naval battles on western Christian holidays.
