If US universities have to pay taxes, will they still be able to afford expensive things like labs and football teams?

    You have to remember that Trump said that, and it's just another of his many lies. Trump has absolutely nothing to do with taxes, that is decided by Congress.

    Yes, they will.

    It's not going to happen, dear. For one thing, little Donnie's going to be out of office soon.

    For another, the whole issue raises the question of tax exemptions for churches and other houses of worship, which, after all, can be said to preach "right-wing bias".

    Football is a big money maker for schools. They get TV revenue and ticket sales.

    Football teams generate revenue. A top level team can pull in almost as much an NFL team without having to pay 2/3 of that out to the players,
