Lazy spa right next to our caravan bedroom window ?

We have a caravan on a residential site and our neighbours are installing a lazy spa that is less than 2 meters from our bedroom window which will then have a gazebo over it which will block most of our window.

So as well as the constant noise from the hot tub and people being in it to late next to our bedroom they will be obstructing our window.

Surely this shouldn’t be allowed so close to us?

    Put up a fence

    Switch bedrooms

Put up your own structure like that so to walk into your area verses looking at theirs.

It’s fully up and the gazebo is huge, it’s only 1.7 meters from our bedroom window and caravan regulations state that nothing should be within 3 meters of the next property or anything that’s a permanent fixture, they have gone to a lot of effort for this lazy spa and it’ll be up all year round, they do have the opposite side of there caravan ( end plot) which is big enough to house this monstrosity plus it’s not effecting anyone else. Can not understand why they would put it here, we’ve emailed the site and asked what the stipulations are in regards to this thing, we await a reply.

Caravan...translation to me is trailer. Is your trailer on wheels?  Then you can move it.  If it is not on wheels, then it is a house trailer. Basically like a house. No move.

Usually that is the FIRST plan of attacking this problem.  Explain YOUR situation WITHOUT BEING ACCUSATORY. Let "THEM" figure out the solution.  "They will feel so proud of themselves." (people are funny that way)  They did not realize it at the time they first chose that spot that they now are on.

As they are in the process of installing it, they still are not set in their ways.   They may tell you WHY they chose this side...because it is closer to the door(or plumbing it is easier) or some other reason. It does not involve you.

. They did not EVEN THINK OF YOU(it could be the reason)  That simple.

If they are on their property, then they are allowed to do that.  However, people in general WANT TO BE GOOD NEIGHBOURS.

Mention(or let it slip out that) you worked for a brewery or a winery.  You would be amazed how many people try to get on your good side because who knows when you can bring home your work.(the excess you know?)  You can lie. It is a Trump thing. You are not promising them some thing. But you know, when you have an excess issue then there is a pitch of product. Say when the bottles used to get labels - sometimes the labels get put upside down or doubled those bottles are pitched in the garbage. Nothing wrong with the beer, just mislabeling problem.  Same happens with Wine. You see how it is advantageous to have a neighbor "like you".  Sure they are being selfish but YOU don't care because it is a LIE remember?

You can only hope they have selfish motives.

Also, right now, they are not set in their ways so the move is MORE possible NOW.

Check the local muicipality, town hall, or land leasepeople, the caravan park management or whomever governs the laws of the land or building and zoning board. They can let you know if there are building set  backs or if permits aND approval are required.

It seems awful unfair for your privacy to be invaded in such a way.

Good luck and act swiftly to prevent this from happening.

Check with the HOA, the city building codes, or restrictions .  State laws could also apply .

If it’s their property they can put it wherever they want. Maybe you should move your caravan.
