Turtles lay eggs.  The female turtle will dig a hole in the ground and deposit the eggs, then cover them up.  The babies will hatch out, dig to the surface and go off on their own.

the female turtle digs a hole and lays many eggs. When they hatch the babies go to the ocean. Not many survive as they get eaten.

All turtles lay eggs. They usually dig a hole in the ground, lay their eggs, cover the eggs up and then leave. The eggs hatch in a few months and the baby turtles have to take care of themselves.

they lay eggs (a clutch) in the sand on a beach. then mom goes back into the water. the little turtles hatch in few weeks, head for the water and hopefully make it to adulthood.
