Weight Loss Advise?

I am a 5'10 (178cm) 19 year old guy, I currently weigh 150lbs.

I said to my doctor the I want to lose weight, he gave me a range of around 130lbs-140lbs (58kg/63kgs) as apparently anything under 130lbs (58kgs) is underweight.. 

so what I am thinking is aiming for just that, getting to around 130lbs/135lbs (58kg/61kg).

How will I be able to do this?
