Well they are not all anymore, of course. The Frog Princess is obviously a Pavageau, after Alcide who was our Grand Marshall of the Mardi Gras (second string of course) for 40 years. But, when Walt Disney was alive, he was White. We all were. We were a people, once upon a time. Now vilified in a most unfair and racist way.

It would be a bit silly if Snow White was black, but let’s look at some others.

Dumbo, grey but must be of African descent

    Bambi was brown

Tiana,Aladdin many others although most are considered racist.

Come on! Walt Disney was a Nazi sympathiser , what do you expect?

I went to Shakespeare's Globe to watch Romeo and Juliet a couple of years ago.

    Juliet was black!

I came out of the theatre as this was infuriating and absolutely wrong.

There were no black people in Italy, especially in the nobility.

Disney characters are based on the Grimm tales first published in 1812.

    Everyone was white.

Unless I am wrong and the German court was full of African princesses.

Because the writers of the fairy tales were white, and it is only a recent thing to have quotas of non whites in everything, Except for black films like ‘black panther’ where there was no outcry from under represented white actors.

Until sixty years ago there were very few non whites in Britain, fast forward and you are hard pressed to see White folks in adverts and on news channels. Such a racist country......lol

  • Because most of them are based on European Fairytales?!

Oh, ok so Disney is racist, too. Time to make more protest banners for the streets. <sigh>

The oldest and most famous characters tend to be based on European fairy-tale type of stories, and most of Europe is white people. I would guess that's why.
