Abuse can be emotional, or physical.  Punishment of children in a physical manner, would be too many spankings, or with sensitive children, any spankings at all would be considered abusive.   Mental abuse is playing games with others, children, and making them feel hurt, angry, vindictive, etc.  What parents don't realize is that by acting in such a radical way just how much damage one is inflicting on a child. Psychological abuse is what happens to the brain of the person being abused.  It can take on a physical expression or a mental expression.
