There were no purpose-built theater buildings in the countries making up the UK between the  Roman occupation and the late 16th century.  Officially, there were no slaves in Elizabeth's England and Wales and in Mary's and James's Scotland  If the ambassadors from other nations brought their slaves, that was their business.  Freeborn, underpaid and overworked men built those theaters.  Slaves probably built the Roman amphitheaters because slaves did the hard, menial work, so look for books and sites about those theaters.
