    Root veggies such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, cabbage and turnip are all generally low priced.

    Canned tomatoes are cheap, and even cheaper on sale. Any canned vegetable usually is.

    For the cupboard - tinned tomatoes, pasta, rice 

    If you want fresh food - cheap veg include onions, potatoes, carrots etc

    Cheap stuff.  Like Russet potato, onion, carrot, cabbage....
