Is an eye exam is prescription for both contacts and glasses?

I wear both do I need to pay for two different exams?

Update:

I'll be going there just for an eye exam since the place I usually go to arnt doing any atm. I'll be getting the prescription from them then buy the contacts/glasses from the place I usually go to since there only accepting that. So when I get the prescription from them that would be both for my contacts and glasses ?

The exam is the same.  You just need to ask for both glasses and contact prescriptions if you are not getting your glasses and contacts from that provider.

You have to ask for the contact prescription special because while the corrective portion for both is the same, your eye needs to be sized for contacts. An eyeglass prescription isn't going to say what size of contacts you need so that they fit your eyeballs.

Your prescription will be good for both contacts and eyeglasses.
