PARENTS of TEENS.... How do you successfully achieve the "7PM BEDTIME" ?

    Ambien with a large glass of wine.  I'm out by 7:30 latest.

    You don't.  I raised three kids and NONE of them ever had a 7 pm bed time.  Their bed time was always 9 pm.

    Outdoor activities...hours prior to sleep and a nice hardy meal. Plan like boss!

    There's no parent alive who is going to achieve a 7 p.m. bedtime for a teenager. There's no teenager alive who is going to go to bed at 7 p.m.

    Probably with kids who don’t work.  Kids who don’t have extra cirriculars.  So the lazy kids are the ones who sleep that early.  I didn’t get home till almost 10 most nights.

    7:30 is unrealistic for a teen.  However, they do need 8 hours of sleep  (not getting ready, not texting or playing video games).  Count back 8 1/2 hours from when they will awake......getting up at 6 am/retire at 9:30 etc.

    With teens, it's impossible, so just let them do their own thing as long as they aren't bothering you.
