Physics Lab Help?

I would draw an arrow coming off the back of the cart in the upward incline direction of the ramp and label that tension, though I'm not sure what is wanted for the formula section.

    Have you learned Newton's 2nd law?

    The product of the acceleration of the cart and the mass of the cart gives the net force acting on the cart.

    The net force is the vector sum of all the forces acting on the cart.

    If you call the tension T, and label up the incline as positive,

    Fincline - T = Mcart * a
