Can tinnitus caused by headphones go away? Is there any good way of getting rid of it?

I left headphones on for too long a week ago and my left ear has had a constant whistle noise since. I’m only 22, can this fade over time or is it more likely chronic?

it's not how long you had the headphones on it's more about how loud they were and how often you're near loud sounds

a concert can make your ears ring for days, but most times goes away

if yours goes on for much longer I'm afraid it is chronic

I've had tinnitus for more than 15 years it sucks,

Wearing loud headphones is one of the worst things you can do to your hearing.  You need to listen to your music at lower decibels  The real damage shows up later in life, so take this as a warning  You probably should see a doctor if you're still hearing the tone after a week.
