Is Lincoln the only person on a US banknote who never owned a slave?

    And Sally Hemings?? 

    Others had slaves too.

    Lincoln didn't have a farm. 

    Why would he need a slave? 

    Mary Todd was his slave!

    Hamilton, Franklin, didn't. But since they no longer make bills over 100. Those are the only ones.

    Far from it. More than a dozen of these men never owned a slave.

    Neither Alexander Hamilton nor Ben Franklin owned slaves. Grant own one slave for about a year. Of course these are only for the current set of banknotes.  Pervious series had a lot of people who never owned a slave.

    No, Alexander Hamilton never owned slaves and was very against slavery.
