What was the point of Margot Robbie's character in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood ?

IK what happened IRL with Marilyn Manson and Sharon Tate

But in the movie she barely has any role, or plot significance. All she does is strut about.

There was no point.  The film was a "vanity fair" project.

Tarantino threw us for a curve ball at the end of the movie. It was really a tense scene in the beginning thinking oh man, here it comes, but ended up being refreshing. Maybe he wanted us to believe that it was all about her before we saw the movie, but in the grand scheme of things, even though she was in it just for a little, it was all about her and the event. No offense to Sharon Tate, but she probably wasnt someone you could make a full movie about. At least where many people would want to pay to see it. In case you havent noticed, Tarantino makes films differently than many others.

First off, Charles Manson, not Marilyn Manson.

Second off, the whole point of the movie was to be a fairy tale. It was meant for us the audience to imagine how the night she died could've gone down had the Mansons been stopped. She was there, more or less, to not die.

I haven't seen it......I assume she was playing Sharon Tate?

who was rather graphically and brutally murdered by the (CHARLES)  Manson   "family".

LOL @ Marilyn Manson. Was that who Margot was playing in the movie?
