What is an example that exemplifies the militarization of public space in New York? ?

Could be a building, park, street corner, etc.

To some people even having meter readers represents a "militarization" of public space.

The statue of General Sherman at the Plaza reinforces hierarchical distinctions.

NYC does not have its public spaces militarized - you gotta stop watching FOX, unless you listen the same amount to MSNBC, and find the middle in PBS.  Yes, there is a decommed  aircraft carrier with some Naval air planes in it, etc. - but it is along the same  piers as the cruise ships and Hudson River rides.  Hardly a hardline MAY DAY trophy walk.  Qanon wants you to think there are armed mercenaries in the streets.
