Does anyone know how much it would cost to fix the Mazda Rx-8 hot start problem? Is it worth it?
I'm looking to buy a Mazda Rx-8 and I found one that's $5,000. It's a 2011 model. I'm thinking of offering a lower price for it because it has the hot start problem where after running the car for a while and turning it off, you have to leave it for a bit before you can turn it on again. I've read up a bit on it and it says that it may be due to low compression in the starters. Does anyone know how much it would cost to fix it? Is it worth getting this car?

The RX-8 is a Mazda mistake. The hot start problem is just one of many problems in the car. It eats coil packs and cat converters. Stay away from them.
