Is it ever ok for my mother to raise her voice to me in a public shopping centre?

Of course it is. She's your mother. Behave and she won't have to raise her voice.

It's actually low class and humiliating. But you get used to it. Eventually, tell your mom to stop showing off.

My elders rarely ever did that to us because it had been done to them. So... they always treated us with the utmost respect in public. If we got out of hand, they'd whisper "You're gonna get it when we get home." And sure enough, we got our a$ses whooped. Or they just left us at home for convenience.

Maybe try that. Not shopping with your mom.

Yes, of course that's okay, you're a child, she's an adult.  Given how precious you are I assume you're an only child
