Do you realize that Republicans are gaslighting America?

Never believe that Republicans are unaware of the absurdity of their position; of their laughably and intentionally inaccurate characterization of Trump’s behavior. These Republicans know damn well that Trump fans the flames of fascism, but rather than confront the problem with dignity they choose to bury it with inflammatory remarks that are frivolous, lazy, misleading and open to challenge. Why? Because they have no desire for the truth. They know it is Democrats who are obliged to use their words responsibly, since it is Democrats who believe in the power of the truth.

Republicans have chosen to make Trump’s behavior a game. They have chosen to launch a ridiculous defense of Donald Trump because by being ridiculous they discredit the seriousness of his actions. They delight in acting in bad faith because they do not seek to persuade Americans by logical arguments, but instead to undermine and threaten the Democratic process in the name of blind partisan loyalty. Then, when these same Republicans are pressed too closely about the truth, they abruptly fall silent and loftily declare that the time for argument has past.

Republicans are not people who value the dispassionate application of the rule of law. They are people who would bend and twist the law to a breaking point, then declare victory when the judicial system ceases to function. Their goal is not fairness or equality, it is victory by any means, at any cost, and the truth be damned.

Another fact-free screed from the biggest blowhard on this site.

It's amusing when dumb mass liberals claim that Trump is somehow supporting fascism when everything he does is in full compliance with the Constitution.  I note the lack of any specifics, because facts don't support "truth" tellers like Lone Star.

If Democrats believe in the power of truth, why do you resort so quickly and frequently to lies?  You claim we don't support law and order, yet fail to provide a single example, because you can't.  None exists.

You're just a liar and a hate-filled liar at that.

So instead we should all vote for big government Socialism?

Not a chance in heel, as the saying goes.

That's an unnecessarily long-winded way to remind us of your glaring dishonesty and hypocrisy.

Those inflammatory remarks are a reaction to the overuse of political correctness by the left.

What is your solution LSP?  Eliminate the republican party?  One-party rule?  You know what that is called, right?  Republicans are not evil and neither are democrats.  They have different viewpoints and they are both flawed.  Of course republicans protect their President in the Oval Office ... do you think democrats would do any different?  You are painfully aware of people on the political right that could copy your diatribe and swap the two parties and believe every word of it.  Please don't be such a party hack.

Words are not action. Only action is action. And NOTHING the President has done or even said is anything remotely fascist. In fact, the only fascism we've seen has come from the left and their obsession with creating American dependency on their dream of a big, authoritarian government.

Looks like someone is channeling a bit of Jean-Paul Sartre.

    • Bingo! I was wondering if anybody would catch the reference.
