Thoughts on Drew Brees' comments about "disrespecting the flag" ?

Asinine and tone-deaf.  Another idiot who can't understand why "they" protest and never likes how they protest.  When African Americans marched in the 1960's, they were met with beatings, water cannons and dogs.  They took a knee in the aftermath of Ferguson, MO and that offended Drew's snowflake sensitivities (but, the NFL does love them some phony patriotism and they REALLY love it when taxpayers foot the bill for those flyovers before games). More innocent black men and women have been killed at the hands of law enforcement or white aggressors and Drew just sits there with his "disrespecting the flag" and "all lives matter" garbage.

Some believe violence is the right form of protest (against property or humans).  Some in the same communities will never believe that.  Why is one form of protest deemed sacred even when there are plenty of people in the black community who would never kneel for the flag as well?

The flag represents this country. If this country discriminates against blacks and does not treat them like human beings, then we should not respect this country or the flag.

I respect his right to express an opinion, and have no further comment on the matter.

He has a right to give his opinion. Then again the left will not accept anyone having an opinion that doesn't match theirs.
