# Find a function f(x), for which the integral could be determined using a basic u-substitution. ?

Having trouble with this problem on my Calc 2 test.

If f(x) were 2x + cosx, which is the derivative of x^2 + sinx, then one could set u = x^2 + sinx.

∫ (2x + cosx)/(x^2 + sinx)^(1/2) dx =∫ du/u^(1/2) =2u^(1/2) + c =2(x^2 + sinx)^(1/2) + c
