Most, if not all, atheist claim there is no reason to believe in any gods.  I can't remember the last time an atheist said "God is dead", except for Nietzsche, or someone quoting him,  and then I suspect he meant that using God as an explanation for anything in reality is a no longer realistic.

The were busy with the murder of millions of others, as Nietzsche predicted.

If a God never existed then there is no God to die.  I cannot say what Nietzsche meant as I have not fully read his works but I assume it may have something to do with the explanatory power of invoking a God (which in times past was our only way to explain many phenomena) being null and void given the advances of science and philosophy.  We killed the need for a God by actually learning about the universe we find ourselves in.  Now Nietzsche may have meant something different in his statement that God is dead, I am not sure.  He is not a philosopher I have studied in depth as only a few of his views on Nihilism have really caught my attention thus far.  Either way, he does not represent my opinions on Atheism nor that of any Atheist as far as I know.

Atheists don't believe God™ exists therefor God™ cannot be "dead".

But carry on trying to be clever and failing at it.

Please... Gods never existed so how can they die?

I did investigate, I read the Bibles...

Atheists don't claim that, they simply think that since there is no proof God exists, if he did exist he is dead now.

You don't have to agree with Nietzsche. I don't.

But you could at least take 30 seconds to understand what the claim means.
