    "Real" in the sense that

    - typically they are agreed upon

    - typically one nation's authority ends at the agreed-upon borders

Yes.  FYI, you are supposed to be at least 13 to use this website.

Whether the user intended it or not this question is more profound than it looks. An atheist could rush in and say "Of course they exist." Only for a theist to point out that the idea of a border is as intangible as a god.

Borders are like money on a bank statement, they exist only because people agree that they are real. They certainly have a real impact on people though and I suppose that is all that matters either way.

Borders exist, they are real. This does not mean they cannot change over time when the politics of the borders change.

Borders are political demarkations of jurisdiction by governments.

Borders are imaginary lines of where a country begins and where it ends. Without borders you cannot have a country, a government, and people with similar values. All you have instead is a "melting pot" full of various racial identities, ethnicities, and institution - all vying for power at the top.

Why do you think Democrats love multiculturalism so much? It leaves everyone on the bottom begging for the scraps. A homogeneous nation is more likely to help those who need it because those at the top are more likely to see themselves in those who are hurting the most. This is why Blacks take the land of White farmers in South Africa today. This is why the British police do nothing about the the 1,000,000 White girls who have been raped by immigrants in England. This is why the west was silent about the White genocide in Rwanda.

It depends on what you mean by "real".  Countries have designated borders and some are disputed.

Depends on where you mean in the world.  Ironically it is the western nations that are pressured by others to have no borders.  The third world nations will often shoot on sight if someone is trying to cross illegally.  Those that want the west to have open borders, will hypocritically say nothing about closed deadly borders in other nations.
