Using 1 stud/ ft to est., how many stud would you buy to build the exterior walls of shed?

Is this a test or for real? If it is for real, throw what you are doing away. If it is for a test, they are asking for the perimeter of the foundation. Then, with a stud for every foot of the foundation, that would be 60 studs. But there is more wood than that. Doors, windows, headers, base, corners, all require more lumber/studs. Like a corner is typically 3 studs per corner, a door, window, 2 studs per side. The header is 2 x perimeter and the base is 1 x perimeter. The base is pressure treated, but you would be smart to pressure treat all of this lumber. And the studs should be on 16 inch centers, not 12 so that insulation and other things will fit. 12" is too close.

If you make a sketch it's easier to work out, I think it's 60.
