Camilla has made it clearly known that she does not intend to use the title Queen. Will you protest her decision ?

How are you reacting to this, per this March 2020 clear reaffirmation by Clarence House of her intentions to be Princess Consort and not Queen?

Update:

@magnolia: Camilla and Clarence House reaffirmed just two months ago that she will use the title Princess Consort, not Queen Consort.

She would not get much support from the public if she wanted the title Queen.

Why are you posting this question again?

    https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20200...

There are many more of the same posted.

Reposting the same questions over and over and over again is against rules of Answers.  The answer remains the same:

While I think the tradition of the wife's assuming the titles and styles the proper thing to do, I realize that it is Camilla's choice to make.At the time of their engagement, when Camilla made this announcement, royal scholars pointed out that no such title existed, that Camilla was trying to placate the rabid Diana-fans by choosing to be called a princess consort.

Royal titles are decided by the Monarch. No doubt he will agree with his wife.

  • The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

The Tatler and the Daily Star - clearly publications to be respected.    Should Prince Charles outlive his mother he will become King, with his wife Queen Consort.   What is decided re how she's addressed/known?   Wait and see.  Ditto for whether or not Charles is actually crowned King, even if he becomes King immediately on his mother's last breath.

No. She hasn't actually said anything has she? The press office at Clarence House has simply confirmed that no further statement has been made. Interesting to see that the Tatler is reporting her popularity is increasing, though. You must be gutted.

The title will be decided by the monarch at the time it happens

regardless of what was 'made known' 15 years ago which has not changed.

This happens in the Kingdom of Morocco, but it remains to be seen

whether the same thing would happen in the United Kingdom.

What is there to protest about troll. To start with this story is a month old, if you look at it properly you will see the date on it is Monday 2 March 2020., also this is nothing new it has been known for a very long time. So stop getting your knickers in a twist over nothing.

Doesn't matter what her intentions are.  She was never going to be queen.
