AMD is specialized towards gaming whereas Intel covers all operations.

    So AMD generally speaking.

    Intel much better for gaming

In gaming, when gpu bound, ryzen is on par with intel. Your average gamer will have a gpu bound system and the performance will identical with intel or amd, but you would save money with amd. Also amd with its core advantage would have a more stable framerate.

AMD, hands down. Intel has nothing that comes close. The Ryzen 5 does`nt even really need a graphics card. Even their dual core Athlon 300ge is as good or better than the intel I-5. Their thread ripper just completely destroys any intel CPU. Leaves them in the dust.

    Intel, of course

If gaming all you do and raw frame rates are all you care about than Intel still has an edge over AMD, because most games still work off single-threaded performance and clock speeds.

If you do literally anything else with your computer other than gaming then Ryzen CPUs perform better overall for the price.

You get better performance for less cost with a high-end AMD CPU.

AMD is cheaper performance wise but if you are not on a tight budget Intel is the best usually.
