The US- Mexico border is 1,933 miles, much of it along the Rio Grande.
The wall/ barrier is aproximately 660 miles, about one third of that length, and will be increased to 970 miles over the next couple of years.
For many years the barrier was 10 to 20 feet high but now is being increased to 18 to 30 feet high. Some parts even have a secondary fence.

In May 2011, then-president Barack Obama stated that the wall was "basically complete", with 649 miles (1,044 km) of 652 planned miles of barrier constructed. Of this, vehicle barriers comprised 299 miles (481 km) and pedestrian fence 350 miles (560 km).Source(s): Google.
