Why have the New York Yankees never played the Montreal Canadiens in their 150-year plus history?

Ever played baseball in skates ?
How about hockey in spikes ?
ps: Neither franchise has been around that long.

Because no single sport combines hockey and baseball.
Troll better, not stupider.

Two different sports, New York Yankees play baseball and Montreal Canadians play hockey. Plus they only share maybe a good few months of the season. Baseball season general ends in October when hockey season begins, and hi=ockey gets down in normally in June of the next year.

It's the same reason that the Oakland Raiders have never played against Manchester United. They play different sports.

What 150 year history? The Yankees date back to 1901 and the Canadiens to 1910. That's 119 and 110 years respectively.
And of course the answer is they play two different sports.

For one thing, the Canadiens didn't exist for almost all of those 150 years.
