High pitched noise in living room and we can’t find the source. Driving us nuts!?

We turned everything off, even from the breaker, and the noise won’t stop.

Hmmm checked the smoke detectors?  Thats the only thing left I can think of since you turned off the breaker.

Not much to go on ....  Is it coming from outside? Upstairs in the attic? A wind baffle on the chimney or roof? Is it from an old-fashioned hot water radiator system (or some other squealing water pipe, maybe with an air bubble in it). Cirquadas ? a bee colony in the wall ?  [That can be real.]

Try turning off your main circuit breaker and seeing if it stops. If it does, it's something that is plugged in.
